Welcome to the world, Deus Ex Machina! 🎉
I’m proud to introduce Hamartia’s sequel, Deus Ex Machina, born on November 18th, weighing 276 pages. Author-mom and book-baby are doing fine. (That’s a lie. One of us is freaking out.)
If this sounds like a birth announcement, that’s because it kinda is. Writing a book and then putting it out into the world feels very much like sending a child I’ve raised out there to fend for themselves. I’ve done all I can, now it’s in the world’s hands. Please be kind to my baby.
Grace has lived in my head since I started this series in 2012. That’s right, TWO. THOUSAND. TWELVE. Ironically, that number probably also represents how many rewrites of each book I did to get the finished copies in your hands. And I don’t even like Grace. She’s an insufferable, frustrating woman who whined about her problems to me, never took my advice, yet insisted I tell her story without prejudice.
So, I’m not begging, but if you’re wondering how to best support me for my pain and suffering from Grace, please buy my books on Amazon. Please? And if you enjoy them, leave reviews on Amazon and Goodreads, and tell people about them. Pretty please?
(If you don’t enjoy my books, just shhh.)
What’s the book about?
Grace knew killing her soulmate to save her son Jordan’s life would trigger a new plague. She did it anyway.
When a plan to stop the man responsible came together, Grace jumped at the chance for redemption, bringing Marc, Charlie, and Kay along to 1930s Germany.
However, the plan derails fast when a betrayal lands the group in 2006 Las Vegas instead, leaving them stranded. Refusing to accept defeat, they seek help from others in 2006—namely, Jordan. But he seems to have his own agenda and is reluctant to help.
Meanwhile, Marc is unwilling to forgive Grace’s selfish decision and turns cold toward her. As the ice thickens between them, and Jordan’s agenda begins to unfold, Grace is fraught with regret. If she had known who her son would become, would she still have saved his life?

In the coming weeks both books will also be available to order through your favourite bookstore. Keep an eye on my socials for updates.
As for a book launch event and signings, I am celebrating tonight virtually on hubby’s Twitch channel starting at 8pm. But I will also have an official in-person celebration in the spring when we have the option to enjoy the outdoors. But please don’t wait for my party to order my book. I’ll sign it when I see you. Promise.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting me.
